Nice sofabed for a 7 year old girls room
DD has decided she would like a sofa bed in her room and its a pretty good idea as we have nowhere for visitors to sleep apart from the living room.
So I've been having a look around and really like the look of this one from GLTC:
http://www.gltc.co.uk/fcp/product/-/...15?colour=Pink Heart&imgcolour=HEA
Will wait for a discount code - have added it to my basket, logged in and then left the site so am hoping one will be sent soon
But just wondered if anyone had seen anything else along these lines? It does need to be fairly small so unfortunately full size sofa beds are out of the question....
Thanks!

Re: Nice sofabed for a 7 year old girls room
It's really cute
. The only thing that would put me off is would she think it's too little girlie in 2 or 3 years time? It's a lot of money to spend on something she might grow out of quickly. also, is it big enough for an adult to sleep in it?
My DD has a stompa casa 4 high sleeper (second hand I must point out cos they are mega expensive!), which has a desk, a bookcase and a sofa which pulls out into a full size bed. I've slept in it and it was quite comfy.
I expect that DD will have outgrown it by the time she gets to
13, I then have a cunning plan to hand it down to my son who will be 7 by then. Could something like that work for you?

Re: Nice sofabed for a 7 year old girls room
Thats my worry - if I could get it in a slightly different design I don't think i'd hesitate! I think its big enough for an adult to sleep in but to be fair its mainly for friends and cousins coming to stay.
I'm kicking myself over the stompa one because we have just bought another cabin bed for DS and a new desk for DD. In hindsight I should have bought that and given DD's cabin bed to DS

Re: Nice sofabed for a 7 year old girls room
I agree with this. My dd is now 8 (9 later this year) and she has in the last year completely and utterly gone off anything pink or girlie. I'm just glad that all the pink we did for her room in the past was paint and accessories!
In terms of actual use, will it be worth it? We have sleepovers very often (far too often if you ask me
) and make do with a blowup double bed
Just food for thought. You may well have already pressed the "BUY" button by now

Re: Nice sofabed for a 7 year old girls room
Thats one concern for sure! I would like it to last a while at that price and poss do both kids so a neutral stripe/star/spot design would be better.
DD said she would like it for sitting on and reading too and to be fair she does read a lot and she currently lies on the floor with a book!
I'm tempted to just buy it -I've spent hours searching for something else and failing

Ach, if you can afford it, get it. You can always cover it with a throw (black or blue would be my dd's current favourite colour
) when she gets sick of the colour
