Think my mum has found her Mother of the bride outfit
Going shopping with my mum on Saturday but think she has decided on what she is wearing. If she gets it we will be shopping for the shoes/accessories & bag
12 weeks before the big day & she should be sorted

Re: Think my mum has found her Mother of the bride outfit
I stood in the (zillionth) shop doorway and refused to let my mum leave until she bought something to wear
. Glad your mum is more organised!

Re: Think my mum has found her Mother of the bride outfit
i went with my mum to get an outfist for my sisters wedding!! i was traumatised...she bought 4 outfits in total!! Riduclous!!
she ended up wearing the first one during the day and changed into another in the evening!!
There was more to getting her outfit than there was getting my sisters dress!!

Re: Think my mum has found her Mother of the bride outfit
My mum found an outfit pretty early, but then kept finding things she liked better. Everytime I spoke to her she had returned one outfit and bought another one.
She ended up with the first outfit she had bought

Awww I am sure she will look gorgeous CH

I remember going shopping with my mum and my Nin for Nin's outfit. She walked into John Lewis, seen a gorgeous stunning pale blue dress and coat and said to my mum "that's the one" when my mum looked it was £700
She tried to talk her round but Nin was having none of it
Her response was "my girl is getting married and I wont be showing her up"
She then also wore it a few years later for my cousins wedding so felt like she got her monies worth

Ahhh that's lovely Adelelee :-)
Glad your mum has found an outfit CH. I went shopping with my mum a couple of weeks ago to get her an outfit for brothers wedding in August and I don't particularly want to go again in a hurry
To be honest I didn't think there were many wedding type outfits in the shops this year. Monsoon, who you'd expect to have quite a few had virtually nothing.

Apart from Adele, it seems that MOB outfit shopping is a universally awful experience

I hope it was a great trip
I loved shopping for mums we went into a few bridal shops and then boutiques and one of the bridal shops had a sort of catwalk and she tried an outfit on and she was strutting it on the catwalk and looked amazing!
We got her outfit from the boutique in the end but was same shape style etc as the catwalk bridal one just a different colour
She looked amazing on the day very glam and obviously the mob in the crowd
That is lovely adele my gran did similar too :-)

Yes Suzie the john charles one that she wanted first off.
She is going to be the same, once shoes etc are paid for it will prob come to more than my dress. At least she can wear hers again though

Re: Think my mum has found her Mother of the bride outfit
Am I the only person whose mum didn't actually buy a new frock? She bought a new one for each of my sister's weddings and never wore them again, so just made do for mine - although to be fair we did get married twice so would have been 2 new outfits.
