Has anyone done the Prince2 course?

Work has organised for me to go on a Prince2 course next week (project management) and I'm sort of nervous.

Has anyone done this course? What can I expect? Was it hard? I've not taken an exam for years!!!!

Is it just the foundation course you're doing, or the practitioners one? I did the foundation, and found it very dry indeed. Mind you, we had to do the classes at 3 - 9pm, having already been in the office since 7.30am. The exam wasn't that hard (from what I can remember, it was multiple choice).

I am doing both. Foundation next week (3 days, 9am-5pm) and Practitioner the following week (1.5 days).

I'm pleased to hear the exam wasn't hard. I have the pre-course reading and it's daunting as there is so much!!

A friend of mine did it fairly recently and hated it

I think like KB says, its very dry, and a lot of reading. She passed anyway, and hopes never to have to look at it again

Yup, that was my plan too. And so far, so good.

Oh great, it's going to be a long 3 days then! I won't use it in my current job (well don't think I will) but I guess it's a qualification.

Total memory exercise. I did both in the same week years ago. You need to read the text book at every available opportunity and definitely to do the past papers as they will help you. They also teach you how to answer the questions as some are two part and you need to learn the technique.

I've been reading the material. Will re-read tomorrow. It's so hard to take in!! I've not studied properly for years so I'm out of practice lol.
