Wow, I didn't expect 20 replies
I might show you the card when I get home tonight if you're all very lucky....
It's a lovely card as cards go (or maybe I was saying that to make him feel better
) but it boxed, & tissue-papered, & is a Forever Friends card, and that last point is the only reason I can see that it was £15 - all FF products are a sodding rip off, like 3" teddies for a tenner

Re: Consumer rights query
If they don't give you a refund, make the card pay for itself by giving it back to your hubby next year on your anniversary, with some notes about your fave 'ups and downs' bits of this year, and get him to give it back to you the year after. You'll never need buy another card again and this one will pay for itself in 15 years. To top that, you'll have a collection of all those years thoughts and loved-up-ness to look back on

Might sound skanky to some, but I think it's romantic

Baby brain at its best - I can't show you the card as I took it back today!
I'll have to try & find it online.
I went into the shop & saw the sign on one of the counters saying no refunds, but it's not particularly obv, & it's on the counter that never gets used
I wish I'd read your suggestion first FM, what a fab idea!
I returned it for a really nice picture frame & 4 fathers day cards - & had to resist the urge to shove it under DHs nose & say "See?! This is what £15 should buy!!"

Re: Consumer rights query
Glad you got it sorted!
I've just looked for the most expensive cards on Clinton's website -
http://www.clintoncards.co.uk/cards?...54&order=price
There's a couple at £15, and I cannot for the life of me see why they would be worth that in any way.
