Regression- but only at home??? Advice plse.
It seems Declan is going through some regression. He's been using the toilet for ages, we chucked potties. He was so easy to toilet train, got it within a week and is almost dry at night also
But since yesterday he's totally regressed and is just peeing everywhere! Although interestingly not at playgroup and not when he needs a poo-hmmmm......
We've had 4 accidents today so far- 3 of them since 12.30 alone- and yet he was fine for the 3 hours he was at playgroup this morning.
How would you handle this? I'm not sure it is 'proper' regression as he seems to be selective about it. he turned 3 yesterday and so the last 2 accidents he's had I've taken one of his new toys away. I've explained that this will keep happening if he can't be a big boy and use the toilet like he used to.
While typing this he's just made it to the loo, so I'm going to give one of the toys back as a reward.
Am I handling this right? Any advice?

Re: Regression- but only at home??? Advice plse.
lisnic, I think he's just doing it coz he can! Maybe to see how far he can push it?
Had to really persuade him and threaten time out to get him to go to the loo before the school run, reminds me of when he regressed for a couple of days after the first week.
Well, he's not getting his leap pad ipad thingy back until he uses the loo again!

Re: Regression- but only at home??? Advice plse.
Thanks for asking. Well, the episode stopped as suddenly as it started! The following day I did lots of remnding, making him go and try and he's been absolutely fine since.
I think it was him just wanting to 'try' something, see what he could get away with.
