Re: Bit of a rant - just need to get this down
Thanks VC.
My ovaries and uterus were definitely clear when he scanned me (he told me I had a "beautiful uterus"... such compliments....
)
He did query a poss problem with my bowel (but then I've been on cocodamol which has it's own side effects) and mentioned endometriosis - but none of that would explain the pop. the relief and now the slow build up of pain again.
Hopefully my doctor will point me in the right direction tomorrow. TBH I'd be happy if it was managed with painkillers as I don't want to be away from work. I need the routine to help manage my anxiety.Mum, writer, occasional nutcase.

Re: Bit of a rant - just need to get this down
From my experience of ovarian cysts it does sound like you have had one that has burst. I had several do that and the pain at the point of bursting is excruciating and then followed by a sense of relief. Mthe pain just doesn't go away though, mine actually took a good few weeks to settle. I had a internal scan after one had burst and it showed up clear although the day before it had shown as a cysts.
I had various trips to A&E by ambulance with mine. You know your body, you know when something isn't right. I would keep,taking the painkillers and given yourself a few days to see how it goes, but obviously if you are in a lot of pain go back to A&E.
i hope you get it sorted and feel better soon, IMO there is no pain like it.
take care

Re: Bit of a rant - just need to get this down
Well I saw my lovely GP today who said she very much believes it was a cyst, which ruptured last Thursday and the pain now is the fluid which was released irritating my abdominal wall and that it will take a while to settle. I've to rest, a lot, no heavy lifting or exertion of any kind. so hopefully it will improve now.

That sounds like excellent advice, so feet up and rest. You will recover so much faster if you do. Take care x

Re: Bit of a rant - just need to get this down
At least you now have someone who "believed" you (not saying the hospital didn't) and that you are not imagining it!
Glad you went, take it easy over the next few days and hopefully the pain will subside.xx

Re: Bit of a rant - just need to get this down
I can really sympathise, but honestly taking things easy and not stretching as well as lifting will help. Hopefully you will feel better soon
