    Products for acne outbreak

My skin has been fine for ages but suddenly i am getting loads of spots on my jawline and neck. I haven't put anything in that area to cause this and i don't wear perfume. Im wondering if its hormonal as its happened since i had my recent contraceptive injection. Now i need something to help get rid of spots and heal the skin there. Can you rec anything? thanks

Charming Maybe no one had any advice (I haven't as my bloody spots are down to hormones so don't respond to any skincare)

Maybe check with your doc if there is anything they could give you?

    xx
Just give me a block, I'm gonna be fine..........

Hon, sorry to hear you are having outbreak. I'm on an iPad so will be brief, but back online tmrw, dd on inset today. I am finding aloe Vera gel soothing and lavender oil is good for dabbing on and healing scars. Could you consider some reflex to balance the hormones? Lots of love xx

I used to get spots on my jawline and was told that breakouts in that area are to do with hormones. If the breakouts continue I think I would be looking for a different contraceptive.

Gentle exfoliation once the actual spot has healed really helps to improve skin.

Don't worry, Im Just feeling a tad sensitive as feel bit down at mo anyway and i give advice on here as much as poss and felt a bit ignored as didnt get any in return but then my afterthought was that you are all probably blessed with perfect skin so are just laughing at my post.

Joking aside, thanks you two, i keep looking to blame something but Adelee is right, when its hormones, nothing can fix it! Will try some aloe gel Roseyposey, ta x

Oh honey no laughing here I promise! I DID have lovely skin as a teenager but once I hit early 30's it all went tits up I have the same spots that come up in exactly the same place every month, but it has got to the stage now where they are pretty much there all the time I have tried all the spot products you can think of and NONE of them worked for me

As I said maybe your doc could suggest something

Definitely sounds hormonal to me. You could try taking Evening Primrose Oil which is supposed to be good for it.

My skin is a nightmare ATM too and I don't really know where to start - well I've started the evening primrose again as that's helped me in the past.
Most of my chin is spot and it's affecting my self confidence so I can understand you feeling a bit sensitive
I'm considering going back to my old skin care regime of elemis but I don't really want to spend £20 on a cleanser ATM. I use St Ives face scrub 2-3 times a week buy I can't say it's working for me.

my skin is a disaster (well just my chin tbh) just now too, but then I don't use any skincare products so am not keen to start now and inflame it.

I'm seriously debating a bit of sudocreme on there overnight

Just thought of something else. I picked up some cod liver oil radience vitamins today. I haven't read the pack but I'm pretty sure I've read before that fish oils are good for skin, nails and hair.

My skin was pretty bad at Christmas time. I went for a spa day and the therapist recommended ESPA nourishing cleansing balm. It is pricey but I am using the Q10 eye cream and moisturiser and dry skin night cream from Aldi which are cheap as chips so I don't mind a splurge on one product.

I treat spots overnight with toothpaste
Evening primrose is a good call for hormonal outbreaks. Vitamin B complex might also help. Drink plenty of water.
