2nd anniversary gift ideas please!

It's our 2nd anniv on Tue

and as we don't have a lot of cash at the mo, we weren't going to buy pressies, however we have just decided to a £10 budget each.

Cotton is the traditional material, any ideas? Ta!

I made DH a cotton friendship bracelet using my embroidery threads for our 2nd anniversary.

Hello wedding buddy

I have gone down the rather cheesy (but something we joke about together all the time) idea of two pillow cases one with 'Love you' and one with 'Love you more' embroidered on them in the green similar to the green of our wedding colour.

Pillow cases were £4 each in M&S and emroidery thread not much

DDM & MG, I can't believe it's been 2 years! I wanna do it all over again

MG, that's a lovely idea, I really wish we hadn't originally decided not to do pressies

so I could have come up with something meaningful.

DDM, good timing, I've seen some lovely ideas online, but not got enough time to get those

Ahh Kelly that's a really lovely idea, unforch I am THE most uncreative person when it comes to stuff like that. Ideally, I would love to have gotten a Santorini sunset/landscape on a canvas

So our anniv was on Tue, & I thought I'd report back.

DH did really well in the end. I had told him to keep the cost down, & had mentioned the cotton tradition but wasn't sure if it went in.....

He came home from work that afternoon with these:

See the orange gerberas? They're our wedding flower, and in the exact wedding colour scheme too (orange & ivory)

I can't believe he remembered!

He also gave me this:

Which again was in our wedding colours, was 100% cotton & we got married abroad, which makes the wording perfect

I've also been moaning that I need a cushion for my bump in bed, so he thought this would be good until I get a proper one!

Seriously, he is never usually this good - he buys great pressies, but struggles with putting lots of meaningful thought in, so I was bowled over

As for my present to him....

He was a new but keen runner, til he got a leg infection in Feb. he has long since recovered, but has struggled to find the motivation to actually get out there, so I have entered him in to the Great South run in October!

It's on our doorstep, I did it last year & he was so envious, plus you get a cotton t-shirt at the end!
