Slimming World or WeightWatchers? Discuss please!
I want to sign up to an online diet thingy, I find this gives me the motivation. In the past I have done WeightWatchers with good results but fancy trying Slimming World this time as I was always hungry on WW and people tell me that SW is better for filling you up. However SW is going to cost me £60 online and WW £30 so I am being swayed in that direction!
I'm looking for any advice or experiences on either SW or WW please to help me make the decision!

Sw works better for me (when I'm in the zone) and as you are a "cooky" person I'd say it would work very well for you as well.
It's less flexible than WW (in that if you are having lunch out you might find yourself a bit stuck) but apart from that I find the lack of weighing and measuring freeing. You just have to be better prepared.Mum, writer, occasional nutcase.

I'm actually just debating going to a group, but I'm a bit of a scaredy cat
If I go to a group do I have to pay in advance?

I lost nearly 3 stone doing WW Online last year. Mostly I found it really good, and the free fruit / veg on the Pro Points system does make you eat more healthily
I liked the fact that you get a weekly allowance of additional points too as that gave me the option of having a higher point day if I needed to (i.e. for a meal out) or saving them for wine at the weekend. The only real reservation that I had about it was that sometimes the points seemed stupidly high for what I was eating (salmon fillets and jacket potatoes spring to mind) and it was sometimes hard to find a low point option when out. It did work though and I think it helped teach me a healthier way of eating.
I'm now trying to shift the last stone by calorie-counting using the My Fitness Pal app, as I got a bit bored of pointing, but I would still recommend WW.Jedi Boy is 6, the Little Princess is 3....

I *think* SW joining fees are £10 and WW around £15...
with SW you get all the info at the first meeting - with WW it is split over a few weeks

What about My Fitness Pal to track food and exercise? Totally free and so simple to use. I love the iPhone app as I can scan product packaging to add the cals. It is great for adding recipes as it works out the nutrients per serving for you.

Hi , glad I found this thread. I have tried slimming world and lost 6.5lbs in my first week and overall in SW lost under stone. I lost 3 stone in WW so really thinking of going back to WW as we left when they brought in pro points anyone know how the pro points is going now.
