Some powerful/moving photos

I had a look through these yesterday and some of them are just so evocative and moving. I thought it might be nice to share them

Yes some very moving ones and was surprised that some images were missong, like some of the 9/11 ones.

WOW, there are some amazing images there.

I felt three in particular moved me.

21, Himler and a POW Horace Greasley eyeing each other up and the story of Horace and his German love.

22, the firefighter and the koala. There is something so touching about this photo.

And of course, 30. I remember the Tiananmen Square protests and this has always been a moving image for me.

They're amazing photos. In particular I loved:

2, The russian war veteran by his tank.Terribly moving, and shows how war affects people for the rest of their lives.

17, Elderly veteran being comforted by a young soldier. Ditto.

28, Female soldier seeing her daughter after 7 months in Iraq.

36, A young boy accepting the flag at his soldier father's funeral.

Totally agree with you, 28 nearly brought a tear to my eye!
