Can anyone recommend a Doula in central London?
I have a friend with a very complicated history when it comes to pregnancy and given that history she is, understandably, petrified that something may happen at the birth of her daughter.
She would love a friend to be there (and we've all volunteered) but her husband is frightfully British and would spend the entire labour worrying that the friend was taken care of rather than doing what he's there to do, focus on his wife.
We were chatting yesterday and I suggested perhaps having a Doula there who could be her advocate. We thought the right Doula, who is aware of her history, understands where her mind is and could speak for her if needed and keep her informed especially if the high risk midwives are called away to another birth.
So, can anyone recommend a really good Doula?
Many thanks
