Impetigo has a golden crust. I'm a bit of an expert of this particular infection as Camille's scar became infected with it after her first brain operation, then I caught it.

    But yes, IMO definitely impetigo.

Going to stop at a pharmacy (two on way) and get advice/meds. Keep DS away from kids/ppl & keep his hands etc. sanitised. Will see what pharmacist say.

DD1 currently has impertigo on her legs. She's been given Fucidin cream and antibiotics so we can try to get it cleared before we go away Tuesday. It is extremely infectious until treatment has started and we have even been prescribed dressings so it is fully covered and she could still go to school. I would definitely try to see a doctor. Not sure a pharmacist can give you anything.

I'd call your out-of-hours service as soon as the surgery is closed. The GP there should be able to sort you out.

Toots - I'm really surprised the docs gave you dressings, we dressed Camille's wound and the dressing almost burned into her skin, she was in awful pain when we had to it off, ended up going to hospital and they had to use medical tweezer thingys, it was horrid :(

Ps - see you Thursday ;) xx

They have given me some breathable plasters as one of the blobs, for want of a better word, was quite big. The first ones they gave us made it worse but the newer ones seem much better.

I'm really looking forward to it

    Impetigo

DD3 has currently got impetigo on her chin (almost gone now) and has been on antibiotics since last Friday.

Hope you get some treatment and enjoy your holiday x

P.S. Just to warn you that your dd may end up with it too x

Did you manage to get anything? If it's not treated it can spread. A little boy in DD1s class had it all over his chin and around his nose, it was quite a big patch! Hope you did and it starts clearing up quickly x
