Exciting question of the day - handheld vacuum cleaner

Does anyone have a hand held vacuum cleaner that they would recommend? I really need one and would love one of the dyson ones but have a budget of £50 max.

Any recommendations?

I have a Vax and am very pleased with it. Better than my last one which was a Black & Decker.

The Vax Gator - bright orange, great price, and does the job! I think it's the best one we've had (and we've been through a few!)

We've had several and now have the Dyson animal. None of the others come close, best gadget purchase ever :sadpersonsmiley:

I love my Dyson handheld.

I had a Dirt Devil similar to this. It was rubbish. It was ok for the first week or so then after that it continually got blocked/clogged.

I don't like the Dyson handheld. I find it heavy and unbalanced. The Dyson Digital slim is fab though.

We've got a vax one which is brilliant. It's DH's favourite pass time to patrol the living room with it when DD1 has been nibbling something crumby!
