Re: Trampolines
I probably wouldn't go for less than 10ft as your DS is the same age as mine, means they can have a friend on too and you can have a go

I would put it on concrete but then we have the net surround, without it I don't think I would.
Eta: re read your post properly and yes can definitely go on grass

Re: Trampolines
I think 6ft will prob be too small tbh.
we got a bargain 10ft one from eBay (obviously lucky there was a seller in our area) and you can easily get 5/6 children on there and it's very "springy"
My sister has an 8ft one I think and both her girls (8&5) play on happily with plenty of space for trampoline tricks
Etc. so I would prob go for 8 over 6.
You can def have them on grass, my friend has hers on the lawn, I think the only issue if the dents it makes in it....we've got our on an area at the back of the garden which we put bark chip down on when we were returfing, so straight on wood chip, on soil.
have to say, I know they are a bit of an eye sore but they keeps children entertained for such a long time, the boys were out on ours before school this morning and my niece at 8 hasn't lost interest...I'd much rather have a trampline than one of those swing/slide sets.

Re: Trampolines
We have a 10ft for my two aged 5 and 4. It can fit 6 small kids on it easily. I would go as large as you can. Ours is on grass
We have £99 Asda one which is exceptionally good value

Thanks LP. Do both your girls go on the 6ft one together?

Re: Trampolines
At 6ft all they will be able to do is jump up & down and only one at a time. If you can fit an 8ft one in then I would go for that. We had a 10ft & upgraded to a 14ft last year so the girls & their friends can all go on there together & so E can practice her gymnastics (kartwheels etc). A bit excessive, but it works for us. IMO if we had got a 6ft it wouldn't have been used as they like going on together.

Re: Trampolines
As big as you can is my recommendation for trampolines. We got the 10ft £99 Asda one last year and it is fantastic, but I wish we had room for a 12ft or 14ft-er. We often have 2 kids, sometimes 3, on it at the same time. DS1 is 9 and DS2 is 4.
