What's the deal with hand luggage and liquids now? ot
Are you still only able to take 100ml in your hand luggage?
We are going away soon and, as we have an early morning flight, we can check our bags in the night before. We'd obviously still have our wash bags for overnight and will carry then in our hand luggage, but I wasn't sure if we'd have to just take enough to do the night and then pack the normal bottles in the checked in bags.
What about aerosol deodorant and toothpaste? Do they need to be under 100ml and can you carry aerosol in hand luggage?
And will I be able to take cartons of toddler formula milk? You know the ready made stuff. I know they say you may have to taste it but then we would have to put it straight into a bottle as you can't reseal the cartons!

Yes, you still need them under 100ml, and you need to be able to fit them all in the clear bags (I have a proper zip clear sponge bag though, about the same size, no-one has ever complained that it's not the right size).
Aerosols are included (I have a Dove travel size spray on deodorant) but I *think* toothpaste isn't (check with BOTH airline AND airport websites).
This year, leaving the US, I did not have to taste any baby milk, but again check the airline/airport website. They have testers for sealed cartons of baby milk now. Or get a few in Boots airside? You could ring and check they have your brand.

I flew through Heathrow this week and had my travel size toothpaste in my clear bag. I saw someone in front of me have to throw out a toothpaste tube as it wouldn't fit in the clear bag....

You can take more than 100ml, but each container must not be more than 100ml. You can take as many 100ml items as you like as long as they fit in the specified plastic bag (usually 20x20cm).

I thought it was a litre total so no more than 10 100ml containers? Not sure where I have got that from though!
ETA - Its here 20x20 and holding no more than 1 litre
containers must be carried in a single, transparent, re-sealable plastic bag, which holds no more than a litre and measures approximately 20cm x 20cm

Yes, I have all mine packed so I don't find I'm missing a small contact lens solution at the last minute.

We have always just bought the toddler milk cartons airside
The Boots at the airport tends to be pretty well stocked with those and it was just much less hassle.
