I could be wrong but I'm sure I read an age ago that at a certain point in pregnancy you stop getting a positive pg test. I would definitely go to the doctor if I were you. I hope you are ok xxxx

I think the hormones that activate pregnancy tests start to drop once the placenta starts taking over. So depends how far along you are, if it turns out you are pregnant. Hope everything is ok xx

My midwife told me similar to what Claire and bubba have said. From about 16 weeks the placenta takes over and tests may be negative.

My SIL had a postive test last august, when she went to the midwife she was 32 weeks gone..

Thanks everyone My af is due this week, going to see if that arrives and then take it from there. If I am pregnant Id only be 7 weeks so not sure where that fits in with the pregnancy tests not working. Did another yesterday and that was negative - might just have been a weird anomaly on the positive last week.

Legolas, I did a test when I was about 6-7 weeks pregnant it was a strong positive. However, Ive never heard of false positives either
