No. As long as there is room for tiny doubt of someone's guilt - let alone reasonable doubt - then I cannot ever believe it to be appropriate. I wonder how those emplioyed to commit the task of capital punishment can live with their deeds.
Also, in countries where the death penalty is prevalent, then that never means the crime rate is lower. It is not a deterrent.
Murder is wrong - whichever 'side' of justice the deed falls.Claire xx
