Re: Hose pipe ban
We are Thames Water and the ban is still on. I'm not watering my garden but using the watering can for my veg in pots and troughs. It only takes about three cans, they don't seem to be doing too badly

Re: Hose pipe ban
I don't regularly check my water company's website either.
I'm sure there is a ban, but if they're that worried about it why rely on people watching the news to get the message
Most people are signed up for email/text so it wouldn't even take a written letter.
Or do you think they're secretly hoping to fine a few people for some revenue

Re: Hose pipe ban
We are with veolia and still have a ban, despite them taking bloody ages to come and fix the leak that burst through my drive way, flooded our road and nearly flooded our house

i agree, It is strange there's been no official notice put out, it's not on any evening news or anything and I'm sure we didn't be a notice to start with.
apprently, if you have a blue badge you are can still use your hose pipe because of it being a struggle to carry watering cans, I reckon you could probably argue, the same applies to being 8 months pregnant

Re: Hose pipe ban
You can still use a paddling pool etc but you must fill it up by carrying buckets of water from your kitchen tap not your hose pipe...I suppose it means a lot of people won't bother but seems a bit silly.
