Do you think you're a quick reader?

I'm a terribly slow reader, and typist. I loved English at school, but knew I couldn't go further down that line as I couldn't read quickly enough. I just find it impossible to speed up, it really pisses me off.

Never learned to type when younger, and it never occured to me that I'd need to be able to. Seems a no-brainer now, but back in the old days it wasn't.

705 for me - I used to read around 3+ books a week - my job involved lots of scanning of large documents so there was nothing else to do! I read at least 1 book a week now - sometimes more. My kindle was the best Xmas present ever I also love re-reading my books. My DH thinks Im but I think its only like rewatching a movie

1,037 for me But that's still not enough to qualify as a speed reader apparently - in my defence I do have Jude on my knee trying to grab the screen so I'll try again if I can persuade him to sleep.
A chick lit book usually takes me an hour to read and most of my holiday luggage could be taken up with books - I suspect I do need an e-reader. I remember Mr WR and his brother refusing to believe I could read so fast and trying to test me on various bits of the plot, they were surprised when I could easily find the exact page and paragraph where the events occurred. I used to read a book a morning before I went to work, and another before I went to sleep. I generally read now in the bath and don't like to get out with a book unfinished :-)
