How much weight can I lose in 9 weeks?
Holy crap, Ive just realised I will have to get out in a swimsuit in front of the rellies in 9 weeks when we go on a family holiday. I dont have a choice about this, so I now have a good reason to kick my butt into gear. But where to start?
I have Myfitness pal on my iphone to help, but how should I go about this? I am a member of a gym, so can enlist help there. However I like my food, esp the crap!
Arrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
help!

Yes I would have thought a stone was eminently possible, particularly if you are going to the gym etc as well as watching what you eat.
Definitely start logging what you are eating - it's quite an eye opener

Does your gym do plans such as bikini body or inch loss? I find they work for me and better value than a personal trainer.

A stone is certainly do-able. And what fifi said about logging everything is really important - and weigh portions too, don't guess!

Re: How much weight can I lose in 9 weeks?
I did an 8wk inch loss program with the gym; it included nutritional advice, 1 group session a week (15min support chat & 45mins circuits/spin/step etc) then 2 additional sessions a week they were meant to be up to 3 in a group with a personal trainer but 90% of the time I was the only one there. I was really motivated so doing that plus at least 2 more gym sessions a week (I wasn't working!) but after all those roti boms in Malaysia I needed something drastic! I lost 5 inches off my waist and a couple of my ass & muffin tops - in all it added up to 11inches in 8wks. It cost £140 but so worth it. You can do it too

I really like the idea of 5 inches off my waist. I would actually go in then
And the clothes I have in my wardrobe would actually fit. Hmmmmm food for thought, Thanks!

Re: How much weight can I lose in 9 weeks?
myfitnesspal is awesome - I've lost 15lb in 8 weeks just using the calorie counter and tracking what I eat - its really easy to use (although I haven't tried on an i-phone!). I haven't deprived myself (much) but it is really eye opening just to see how many calories there is in stuff.

If you want me to motivate you I can try? Let me know if you want the basis of the inch loss principles and I'll pm you/post them.

Re: How much weight can I lose in 9 weeks?
What is your username on MFP? I have tracked my food everyday for 125 days on there *polishes halo*. I'm at the stage that I have lost a little too much and could do with gaining a pound or two.
It is possible to lose a stone but only you can do it. With the iphone app you have no excuse to track what you eat!!! Track every ingle thing that goes into your mouth and stick to your daily allowance. I have found I need to tinker with the profile settings as I tend to lose more than it says I should for a particular number of cals per day.DS July 2003, DD1 January 2005, DD2 August 2008
