Re: How long would you expect a pair of £35 Clarks school shoes to last?

Absolutely what Katkinn said. My son's had his since September too; although they look fairly dreadful, their structural integrity is fine.

Totally agree, D has had his since September and they are hanging to look at, but they're not broken in anyway

I would expect them to last longer than that!

Mine has had his since august, they are fairly knackered but not dead yet, they'll do him until the end of term. I would def take them back.if they were wrecked in a few weeks.

I'd definitely take them back. I always pay a similar amount for a pair for ds2 from and independent shoe shop and it's rare if they don't last the whole school year

They should definitely last longer than that. I never buy Clarks as I think they're overpriced and overrated.

I think I've heard in the past that if they do an exchange, it can only be for the same size, so if the child's feet have changed in the meantime, they won't honour the exchange against a larger size, because if a larger size was needed, they'd need new shoes anyway, regardless of whether the old ones were worn or not. Can't remember where I heard that but it was somewhere.

Just to update, I took them back and they were very apologetic and gave me a new pair no problem

I used to expect a whole school year out of a pair of Clarks. I usually got it but the kids used to look like Victorian urchins from the ankles down by the last half of the summer term

Glad they exchanged. I'd have taken them back too.
