Anyone else having a purge/declutter?

Spurred on by a film the other day (Everything Must Go) I've sorted through a lot of my wardrobe, Ava's wardrobe and today I tackled toiletries/makeup and also wrapping paper/gift bags.

The joy in store for tomorrow is Ava's pen and pencil collection .

It feels sooooo good. Anyone else like to join me?

I did all the kitchen cupboards last weekend - it was very therapeutic.

I am now working up to starting on the girls wardrobes...

My girls are away at their dad's and the playroom is on my list - they were warned and I will do it, but it's a task of mamoth proportions

I've done my bedroom and the kitchen - the library Ok the bookcase then. The bathroom - I now have space in the cupboard

I have been well bitten by the chuck it out bug

This week I've done the bathroom, toilet, two bedrooms, hall, kitchen and kind of the dining room. Still got a couple of rooms to do but I'm done with tidying and clearing out stuff this week for the moment!

I have been decluttering on and off for the last few months and the house does look much better. I watched an episode of The Hoarder Next Door today and feel reinvigorated (and also mildly disgusted). Today I chucked out some horrible acrylic yarn that I've had for ages, loathed, but felt bad about throwing out. Am also trying to clear off the living room table as that always ends up as a dumping ground and TBH, it is mainly my fault

I think that's the key allana - not to feel guilty about throwing something out. I don't know why I should feel guilty about not liking a perfume someone else has chosen for me for instance.

Oh I also edited Ava's bath toy collection - mouldy ducks be-gone.

I cleared out the medicine cupboard the other day, stack loads of stuff we've been keeping "just in case" that went in the bin. Just gotta work on MrB now to get rid of his biking gear, now that he doesn't have a motorbike any more...
