Re: Ok a really really boring thread! But it's a thread!
Baby S ONLY wears those during the day (but on top of a popper vest) as just to be awkward he also wears a different top layer at night - this type of thing - just the dogs wotsits for nighttime nappy changes AND you can trap his arms in the elastic.

The places I found plain white larger sized poppered vests were John Lewis and Asda - mine stopped wearing them when I started potty training but not before as, like other have said, they stopped them pulling their nappies off at inopportune moments!!!

Re: Ok a really really boring thread! But it's a thread!
Now you mention it I have seen them in JL and my friend with the two-year-old only ever buys anything at all at JL.
I don't need any more 6-9mo (though he'll probably be in those ones soon because of his huge nappy) but I'll know to look there for the next sizes.
Incidentally I had a 10% voucher for Boots but they had absolutely nothing larger than about 3mo, though probably because everyone was buying stuff up.

Ok, just reread your op and realised I'd misunderstood - sorry! Vests stopped being worn altogether in this house sometime between the age of 1 and 2, season depending.

Re: Ok a really really boring thread! But it's a thread!
Oren is 20months and still in poppered vests. I'm pretty sure Oscar stayed inthem until over the age of 2 as well, I tried to use them as long as possible as I really liked them.
Oren gets a bit freaked out by his belly button
and if he's just wearing a tshirt/normal vest, he'll pull it up and start absent-mindedly picking at his belly button, making it very red and sore so I'm definitely keeping him in the poppered vests for as long as possible. I like the long sleeved ones too for wearing under tshirts.
At night he wears just one of these vests under a fleece sleepsuit, when (if!) the weather gets warmer he'll change the fleece for a normal sleepsuit.
We tend to buy the poppered vests in the supermarkets' clothes sections.xx Hermie xx

Dd2 stopped wearing them at 3. For larger sizes mothercare & m&s were good.
She also outgrew the night gowns by 6m but also no longer needed nighttime nappy changes.

As long as they were in nappies they wore bodysuits as opposed to vests

Tesco does plain white ones in all sizes up to two years if that helps. Nice and cheap too. Lucia still wears them when it is chilly.
