What are you cooking this week?

Urgh my diet has been rubbish since we've been moving house but this week I've done a big food order and pledge to get back on the wagon, and having options instead of resorting to quick snacks and take aways.

Would love to steal some of your lovely ideas so please post what you're planning for the week.

    We are having

    Prawn ramen
Ginger citrus chicken with spicy kale
Porto rican beef with mashed sweet potatoes
Pork shoulder with cabbage and apple slaw
Cajun steak with salad and fries

Rosa your menu's always sound so delicious.

Ive no idea what we are having this week. I'll need to get my thinking cap on.

I made my first ever fish cakes today using a bbc good food recipe. I used some poached lightly smoked salmon filets from M&S. We had a lovely salad which was so nice as we haven't had salads much in the last few weeks. They were really delicious and were loved by my 11 month old, 3 year old and my DH. It's not often that happens!

Hearty vegetable soup - I've made this for tomorrow.

I've been really quite good with eating recently. We ate at Beefeater this evening. I had a bean burger and chips and feel bleurgh as I'm not used to eating heavy food like that.

I've got a chestnut mushroom and lentil bolognaise recipe that I plan to try one night. I'll post the recipe if it is nice. I can't think what else I have planned to make.

Could you post the recipe for the beef Rosa? I have some lovely Donald Russell beef I need to cook tomorrow.

ETA: think I have found it. Poop, I need something for cubed steak. Will bookmark it though.

    Other meals this week:
    Roast chicken
Something with pork steaks (eta: prob the mustard/maple thing Noonoo posted as I am addicted to it with chicken)
Tacos (taco meat and salad for me)

Yeah mine was a mince one. If you do find a nice recipe for cubed steak can you post it cause I seem to have disaster after disaster with cooking that

I'm not good at organsing myself - I usually ahve a main ingredient and then cook something around that.

Tonight its spag bol from the freezer (I'm feeling very lazy!)
Tomorrow I have some ham I cooked yesterday to use up.
Other nights its mince, chicken and salmon fillets.

    Bop
