Re: Goodbye job hello childminding!
I have a couple of friends who are childminders, and they are all busy and turning people away
Had you thought about taking children with special needs - they are even more sought after

Oh well done you! You'll be fantastic at it

Good childminder's are like hen's teeth here. Especially if you can be flexible, I think you'll be absolutely fine.
Best of luck and keep us informed! xxxx

Good luck
Again around here childminders are really sought after - a friend of mine is a CM and has a waiting list

Re: Goodbye job hello childminding!
I started the registration process in November, and am getting my home visit in two weeks time (so hopefully will be registered by the end of the month.)
I'm in the Scottish system so it's probably a bit different, but I did find the paperwork quite daunting. Good luck with it and hope you can make it work for you

Re: Goodbye job hello childminding!
Thanks guys
. I'm really cracking on and am already booked onto the first aid course next week and pre-reg briefing just after half term then plan on submitting my Ofsted registration straight afterwards
. We really need to get cracking with a few jobs around the house & garden and try & gather together some toy storage plus more varied toys, books etc as I'd like to keep the boys stuff separate. Bizarrely I've already had a call from a local mum who 'heard' I was registering
(village/school gate gossip grapevine at its best ) - unfortunately she needs someone from August but still, I'm pleased she thought I was capable enough to actually ask the question
