Recommend me a large cottage in the W.Mids
I am currently looking for a large cottage for next March so all my family who are based all over the UK can celebrate my dad's 70th. *We need between 7-9 bedrooms, to sleep 13-16 dependent on who is coming. *It would be lovely to have a swimming pool although might be a big ask. *Looking at w.mids i.e. warwickshire, stratford/coventry that sort of way.
Anyone got a recommendation?

Re: Recommend me a large cottage in the W.Mids
We used to do big get togethers and we never found big places inthe West Midlands (though that is a few year ago).
There are some in the Peak District and that's not much further north. Large cottages are quite hard to find - lots up here in Scotland though!

Bop the lake district is lovely but too far for the weekend as we are based in east Mids/Cotswolds.
I reckon budget is £1500 tops for the whole place for 2 days. For that price we would love indoor pool but maybe I am detached from reality.

Not quite the location you were after (and no swimming pool!) but this place is lovely http://www.cottageselection.co.uk/si...~0~0~N~N~N~N~N

Doh! Sorry, yes peak, not lake. Read whilst doing 101 other things!
Lgal - will have a look through those, have seen 2 of them before, and love the first but thought you couldn't rent both for the w/e, think I misread it (again!).
The old vicarage is lovely - will have a look at distances, think it might be a bit too far for the w/e, but would love to live there!

Always worth ringing them up, seeing whether they can make an exception. If they're not booked and given economy etc... worth a go I reckon.
