Siege on Tottenham Court Road
Blimey
A guy went running in to an HGV testing office and has taken hostages, apparently because he failed his HGV test and has nothing to live for.
He's been making hostages throw stuff out of the windows.
He apparently has gas canisters. Police are now worried he may blow the building up

Well thank goodness, he's in police custody now. Scary for everyone, but it sounds like he needs help.

My OH's office is just down the road from there. He was texting me to tell me he could see stuff coming out of the windows and police everywhere.

Re: Siege on Tottenham Court Road
I've just had an email through from a company I deal with, based on High Holborn, saying they had to evacuate so won't be in much contact this afternoon!

Scary stuff
I texted DH to warn him that he may have to plan a differen route home. From a purely selfish point of view
I hope he doesn't get caught up in it all.
