Re: When did your children stop believing?
I can remember as a child, waking up and my tooth was still in the box under my pillow. I was distraught and went into my parent's room in tears. While there we heard the window in my room rattle and my mum talked me into checking again. Sure enough there was some cash where my tooth had been and a letter saying she had been a bit behind on her round as so many children in my town had lost teeth. It was only a couple of years later that I realised that my dad was nowhere to be seen when all of this was going on.

Re: When did your children stop believing?
DS is 9 and still totally believes in tooth fairy/santa/easter bunny. I genuinely thought he would have sussed it by now as he's a pretty smart kid otherwise! I think the fact that we went to Lapland to see Santa a few years ago helped with keeping the magic alive for longer.

Re: When did your children stop believing?
Well My dd who is nine thinks the lady next door is the tooth fairy. She was talking over the fence to the neighbours older daughter about her tooth falling out and that the tooth fairy was coming. The next door neighbours daughter said I know who the tooth fairy is its my mum! DD ran in saying I know who the tooth fairy is, its Mrs M!
I will say now my dd2 is a nutcase and will listen to any old crap lol.
My older children roll their eyes when she comes out with this story.

I never knew that the Easter Bunny was something that children believed in. I just assumed that it was like chicks, lambs and bunnies kins of thing. Is it an English thing (we're not in England)?
