Re: Money Saving in 2012
Bubba that happened to my ex's company, he was owed about £300k at the time too it was a total sickener. Same company had done it a few years before as well and left him owed quite a bit, they had done the 'phoenix' thing too and were supposed to be paying an enhanced rate after the first time to make up for some of the money lost then they went bust again
Hope you can scrape together to cover the bills.
I'm currently saving money by staying home lots and not spending
I have added the kids on to my gym membership which costs £5 per child per month but they can use the soft play any time in the local sports centre, and go swimming any time including the waterpark (with flumes, tidal waves, rapids etc etc) so if we want to do something then swimming or soft play is like a free day out!

There is an iPhone app for the Asda price guarantee. I've just checked last weeks shopping and got a voucher got 82p and £3.02 for my more recent shop.
I've now picked up work for Sept. I also have 6 days at the start of the holiday with another child. That 6 days gives me over £200 which will help entertain the kids during the break.
DD2 starts school so three lots of uniform and shoes to get this year. I closed my NEXT account when we moved last year. I've got a card to get a new account and save £10 on my first order.DS July 2003, DD1 January 2005, DD2 August 2008

Re: Money Saving in 2012
I think my Tesco pass is saving me money, will wait and check after a month. Is nice to have food in the house and ordering online makes it so much easier to plan.
Sick of being skint, but at least my business is picking up.

Re: Money Saving in 2012
The Tesco pass really wound me up, I complained and got nowhere.
Basically they don't take Maestro cards to pay for it but they'll happily take maestro to pay for shopping! I emailed and was told it was a banking error (at the time of the RBS issues) so replied saying their site states they don't accept it. No reply since then.
I would love to have the pass as I shop at Tesco every week so would use this every single week. I might email again tomorrow.

Sorry I never saw your reply about the Pass thing - so basically its the delivery charge paid up front? Could be useful, thanks for letting me know about it!
I've been shopping in Aldi recently esp for fruit & veg. Definitely cheaper for salad stuff. However I am checking my receipts thoroughly after I was charged £4.82 for some car item that I didn't buy ... very peculiar, I followed it up by phone and did get a refund but I kind of felt like they were doing me a favour giving me my money back
You can't phone an Aldi store either, they are all ex directory.

Re: Money Saving in 2012
I'm another with lots of stuff to ebay that I haven't got round to yet, it is so time consuming doing all the ironing, pics, packaging, postage etc...
I have been meal planning and shopping on Asda online and it seems to be working quite well. Also using the slow cooker quite a bit. I used to shop at Lidl but now I'm not working, it would involve driving 20 mins there and back. And online shopping is so much easier.

Re: Money Saving in 2012
Oh yes, and tonight I did a quick shop in Sainsburys and they gave me a money off voucher for the next shop - think its akin to the Asda one because your shop would have cost less elsewhere.
I also got a £9 off next £60 shop voucher.
