Re: Do you and your OH/DH ever go 'out'? Just the two of you, I mean?
Yes, fairly regularly - it's really important to us to have some time together away from the distractions of home (and Damsels
) and just have a chat etc. We're lucky that we have family nearby who can babysit, which helps.
And we go out most weekends, but that's often with friends, or to people's for dinner, so not really just the two of us (although still fun).Mid-Season Sale Now On - save up to 80%:

We go out together a lot. We're very lucky in that we have our regular babysitter
, my student brother, my mum, my dad and his gf, FIL as well as the girls from DD2's nursery all happy to babysit. I don't think I've ever not managed to go out due to lack of babysitter.

Re: Do you and your OH/DH ever go 'out'? Just the two of you, I mean?
Yes, we go out about once or twice a month. The 17 year old girl next door is happy to babysit for a meal and free reign on our Sky TV! So I order her a pizza delivery or leave her £20. She's very mature, her mum is next door and she's babysat for us since she was 15.
Before that, when we just had 2 boys my parents would have the boys for a weekend every 6 weeks or so, but the boys being in school (so needing them back at a reasonable hour on Sundays), my parents being older and another boy in the mix means it rarely happens any more. Shame as I loved going out drinking knowing one of us didnt have to be up in the morning......
So why not arrange a quick Damsels meet? I'm in Paris for work (not as glam as it sounds as it is the outskirts rather than the Champs Elysee
) or I would have love to have met you for a quick drink or bite to eat - Pizza Express St Christophers Place feels like a long time ago now (MrsSweetcheeks and I were pg at he time!)

Re: Do you and your OH/DH ever go 'out'? Just the two of you, I mean?
Not as much as I would like , though it is down to lack of funds rather than lack of babysitting.
We do OK though, we get out more than some couples I know. I actually think it is important for our girls to see us having a life away from them if that makes sense. To see that we are still people who love each other and not just mummy and daddy

Not as much as I would like tbh but only as we don't have family on hand to babysit ! We do have a babysitter who is magic with the boys (& puppy now ) and whenever DH is home she sits for us no bother ! We do however have date night on a Saturday when we put the boys to bed at a reasonable time and have a nice meal together & share a bottle of wine and generally chill with one another :Ellie:

Not often. We don't have any family near by and I don't feel comfortable asking non family to watch 5 kids. Not that they're a problem.
Doesn't bother us at all. We're quite happy being together at home. Kids all in bed by 8 and then we're alone.
