I'd go for the one on Amazon, looks like what several friends have for their kids and they are fab.

I think the ladybird is more sturdy for a little one, so more suitable. The wheely bugs are great also, but pricey.

Re: What do you think will be the better one?
We had a scuttlebug for dd2 and got it for her2nd birthday. I wish we had got it when she was around 12m because by about 2.5 she was too tall for it.
I think it'd make a good 1st birthday present.

Re: What do you think will be the better one?
Scuttlebug without a shadow of a doubt. We've had both a scuttlebug and a wheeybug and I've given the latter away as it was just something the adults get falling over. Reluctantly one of the children would end up on it but it was always a fight (and still is even though two of them are way too big to use it) for the scuttlebug.
Apart from the Microscooters, I would say the most used toy we've had. Absolute bargain for the money.

This.
They're a design classic, so if you have to have toys cluttering your house they may as well be attractive ones
We have the little ladybird and the big bee and I intend to keep them for Esme's children, they're so beautifully made. Expensive, but worth it I think. But they do take a bit of getting used to, littlies do tend to slip off them at first, but not for long.

Re: What do you think will be the better one?
Having looked at the two you've listed and also the Wheelybug, I think that the wheely bug might give you better value even though it is £40, as opposed to £20, as I think the Wheelybug might last a bit longer (ie. a small Wheelybug is suitable for 1 - 3 years) not sure if you'd get that amount of usage from the other two.

Scuttlebug!!! DD2 is on hers pretty much everyday. It is surprisingly sturdy and she picked up how to do it really quickly.

I sit on our wheelybug sometimes ha ha. It's VERY sturdy and makes a nice feature in my lounge.

Lazymummy, I meant to add that I may be wrong. I don't have any personal experience of seeing children playing with these, just going by the photos etc.
