Re: Anyone up for a summer holiday weight loss challenge?
I just took my measurements for a final 7 week pre-holiday push... Debating whether to post them for additional motivation! Am also considering putting my bikini on and taking a photo - but tbh, it is too big and not particularly flattering. Going to get a new one anyway.
Did some toning exercises to target my tummy, bum and thighs last night and planning to do those at least twice a week now.Jedi Boy is 6, the Little Princess is 3....

Re: Anyone up for a summer holiday weight loss challenge?
Bluebabe, I took some measurements when I first started Kettleworx, found them very motivating as i lost around 7cm from my waist alone in 6 weeks! I've also got my before photo on my camera, but no way am I posting that- not till I'm at goal, anyway

Todays all a bit upside down, got my hair appt this morning so my mum is kindly looking after the kids this afternoon after school so i can still go to the gym later. Bless her, she's been really supportive and says she'll be around for me in the summer hols so I can still go and work out. My gym membership is Mon-Fri 9-4 (cheapest option!) so if I didn't have her over the holidays i'd be stuffed.
Todays menu is mushroom omelette, prawn salad and chicken kebabs for dinner.

Gah, bloody wine last night, really need to be better on school night's. Especially as I have a girl's night out tonight.:D And should stop weighing myself every day as lost this week and appear to have gained it back overnight.
Gotta be strict today, latte, caulie soup for lunch and snails for dinner. Priced myself up for wine tonight and have about 250 cals left - for either more wine or the inevitable munchies!

Re: Anyone up for a summer holiday weight loss challenge?
OMG I bought a SIZE 10 dress
I only took it into the changing room because there weren't any 12s or 14s and I was thinking of ordering one so was trying to judge what size to order online, but it fitted and looked good (I think). Also got some skinny cropped lilac jeans in a 12... so far out of my comfort zone but I had been debating them for a while and they were in the sale...

Am not going out tonight now so have bought some stir-fry veggies and crab sticks. And had a few snails as a snack...

Re: Anyone up for a summer holiday weight loss challenge?
Wow thats amazing BB, happiest day ever!!!

Mrs B stir fry veggies is a great idea, I might get some of those frozen ones in in case I am ever stuck. I like the leftovers the next day too so might be good for lunches.
I STILL havent hit the magic 10lbs off, I weigh every day at work so I was so hoping to have got there this morning but now will probs go crazy over the weekend!
So today I have eaten
B - 2 low fat sausage and 2 poached eggs
L - Piece of cheese and spring onion quiche (left the pastry)
Not sure what to have for dinner, think it might be takeaway but am unsure what to have and im not sure I want to have a cheat this week when I am so despo to get to 10lbs off. What sorts of things are you low carb ladies having in the event of a takeaway??
Have already had a little cheat today by having a can of full fat coke (my weakness) so am really in a mess about what to eat tonight! Am supposed to be out tomorrow night too so probably need to account for a few drinks there too.

It will be a choice of either chinese or kebab based (2 shops next door to each other!) I was thinking I could maybe have a main meal and perhaps a portion of beansprounts instead of noodles or rice?

Good plan. Stir fried King prawn, chicken or beef dishes are good, just avoid the prawn crackers!

Just ordered, have gone with duck breast stuffed with minced prawns in straw mushroom sauce. Probably heavy on calories but at least I've stuck to no carbs!

10 years is definitely a reason to celebrate - and eat chocolate
Enjoy the rest of your evening!
Holly - sounds like a good choice to me
We have had prosciutto wrapped chicken, Parmentier potatoes and veg - not perfect but not too bad for a Friday night. And wine, obviously

Re: Anyone up for a summer holiday weight loss challenge?
Today is latte and half a muffin with fried egg and small slice of cheese for brunch, probably steak with stir-fry veggies for dinner, saturday night wine. All coming in within cals. Took DD to McD's for lunch and was very tempted, but had a Sprite Zero and only pinched about 4 chips. Feeling quite virtuous!

I was going to try a run again today but the rain has been torrential all night and all day. Feel sorry for ds who is at an outdoors party - for 5 hours!

Re: Anyone up for a summer holiday weight loss challenge?
Ok, well yesterday was a bit rubbish:
B - Bran and sultanas (3pts)
L - Bacon, lentil and leek soup (2pts) small piece bread (1.5pts)
D - Cannelloni (8pts) Garlic bread (2pts)
S - ice cream (5pts) 3x biscuits (6pts) Slice of jerk chicken dipped in sour cream (WFT was I thinking
) (2pts)
So thats 29.5pts, not actually as bad as I thought but I do feel bloated today.
Going to a garden party at lunchtime and then out for a Sunday roast at teatime. Both being a nightmare foodwise. I'll try to have lunch before I go out and then stay away from the buffet at the garden party as its all pies, quiches and cakes to raise money for Cancer Research - I'll just buy raffle tickets instead!
A run is out of the question too today as too busy. Have a good Sunday

Re: Anyone up for a summer holiday weight loss challenge?
Enjoy your party today NA, sounds like you're well prepared for avoiding those cakes!
I really haven't done well this weekend. Picked at stuff, drank wine (quite a bit) and am not feeling optimistic at all about this weeks weigh in. But if I really get back on it monday and Tuesday I might get away with it. I've had healthy breakfasts and lunches but last night was quite a big meal with wine and tonight will be the same (DH wants takeaway, but I'll do my best to choose healthily), the wine will be less as it's a school night.
Got dress rehearsals for my dance show next week so thats a bit of exercise today, and got gym tomorrow.
have a lovely Sunday!
