TK Maxx in London - baby stuff?
We are down in London this week (anyone wanting to arrange a viewing of Baby S do PM me!) and we have a nasty feeling we are going to have to get the next size up of Velcro swaddling blankets. The only physical shop I have seen them in is TK Maxx but it doesn't look like any of the London shops have a kids' department. Is this right? We are very central - it looks like there is one in Charing Cross Rd which is not far.

What does the velcro swaddling blanket look like? I might have seen them somewhere else.
The CHaring Cross TK Maxx is just down from Tottenham Court Rd tube, so quite central depending on where you are!

It's a little pod thing with two wings for the arms. The only brand that does the large size seems to be Summer but although a lot of places stock the newborn size, I can't seem to find the larger size.
Does the CCR branch have kids'and baby stuff at all?

Why don't you just order it online? I would think the chances of a TK Maxx having anything that you specifically want in a certain size, absolutely zero.

If we were at home I'd do that
but it's up to 10 day delivery and I've seen the swaddlers in 2 quite small TK Maxx branches near us so it's worth trawling round 2 or 3 to get a week's sleep!
We thought we had him switched over to grobags but he has gone back to just flailing and hitting himself.

I've seen children's clothes in the TK Maxx branches outside of central London but never checked in that CC store. Sorry can't help more. Can you call them?

I saw some swaddles in John Lewis today in two sizes, kiddipotomus come in a range of sizes and weights but not sure of the stockists in London.

Thanks CB, JL website only mention the small but I am going to a branch anyway!
Poor mite, he slept sooooo much better last night but we are wrestling him into the small, mean mummy and daddy.

Re: TK Maxx in London - baby stuff?
There are tk maxx branches in London with children's depts, about 10 mins on the tube from central London if you can be arsed. But as has been said they might not have any when you get there. Unless you can phone ahead.
I'm probably going to one tomorrow, I can check, but I'm pretty useless at identifying specific products!

Well I had no luck in the JL today but I think I might try and get to a TK Maxx later in the week. The website seems to be saying the Brixton one has a kids department and that is only 10 mins as Faith says so I'll give that a go.

Lewisham does too, and Bromley, which is slightly further out.
