Vegetarians - does this sound nice?
I'm having some friends round for dinner next week, one of whom is a vegetarian. I was going to do a creamy chicken and leek pie for the non-veggies and then make a separate pie using the same recipe but replacing the chicken with mushrooms. Does this sound ok?

I'm veggie and would eat that
I like quorn too but some veggies don't like it at all, just a thought!

I'm a veggie who doesn't eat fake meat/Quorn. We have little pasties filled with leek, mushrooms and cream cheese and some black pepper. Very simple but tasty.
I've got a recipe for lentil jalousie (sp?) which is pastry filled with lentils, corriander, breadcrumbs, red peppers, etc. Its quite time consuming to be make but can be made in advanced and can be frozen (before baking). I can post the recipe when I am on the computer if you want.DS July 2003, DD1 January 2005, DD2 August 2008

Re: Vegetarians - does this sound nice?
If I had a choice, I would prefer mushrooms and leeks. I do eat quorn but rarely. Quorn is also based on a fungi, so I tend to avoid quorn with mushrooms.
However I would also be grateful that you were cooking for me and eat all those options!Been busy

Thanks for the replies. I think she does like quorn so I might put some of that in instead of the mushrooms.
