Can I ask how many of you have trampolines in your garden and how often they get used?

MIL has been trying to buy us a trampoline for a couple of years now but I keep resisting because I don't want a massive trampoline in the garden if the kids are only going to use it a few times a year and the rest of the time it sits there like an eye sore. They have a trampoline at the childminders which they use and also the next door but one neighbour has one that they could use. I don't know if I'm just being a massive grump about the whole thing or whether I'm justified in not wanting one in the garden. Perspective is needed please
