We've bought the Maxi Cosi cabriofix, which is the predecessor to the pebble I think. It's a Which best buy plus Maxi Cosi seats compatible with a lot of pushchairs. I managed to get it half price on Amazon one evening so bought it quick!
We need to look at bases still and see if we can make them fit our car. We've got the isofix points but we also have underfloor storage, which can be incompatible with the isofix bases because of the support leg (big sarcastic thumbs up to whoever designed our family friendly car

Re: Baby Car Seats
I didn't go for the newer maxicosi and like Bubba went for the cabriofix with the isofix base. My reasoning was that I wanted to get a rear facing second stage seat so the new isofix family fix base that did two seats wasn't a good deal for us. Cabriofix also still top or near top in the Which tests. Also with a new one out - like bubba I got a good deal

Re: Baby Car Seats
For dd1 we had the old M&P prima viggio(?) but I found it very cumbersome & awkward to carry. Thinking a new car seat would be better for dd2 we got te cabriofix which while all car seats are awkward to carry, it was better. She's a tall girl 91st centile ish) but it still lasted her a good 14-15m.

We had the Bebe Confort Creatis. We used it for both girls and I loved it, they always looked super comfy and it was rated high in safety tests (so DH told me!)
