Re: Next doors cat driving me bonkers

no need for permssion. I am the biggest cat lover ever but I wouldnt mind if someone did it to mine if they were being a pest.

Don't get me started of frickin dog owners though, they think their pooches can do not wrong. "What do you mean, my dogs bark? They don't bark." Many evil plans were hatched to stop them, but now they are finally moving (after two years of hell). THANK GOD.

I've got 2 cats, but will happily squirt any of the other buggers that come in to my garden

Re: Next doors cat driving me bonkers

Just a little story this thread reminded me of

When I was wee, we had a few cows & my Dad and Uncle would milk them by hand. The farm cats would all line up and play around at the front of the byre, waiting for my Dad to come out with the bucket and slosh some milk in a bowl for them. I remember if the cats got too bold, my Dad (who def had a mischevious streak) would take aim with the cow's udder and give them a good squirt
There was one cat who got really into it, and woud try and catch the squirting milk in its mouth!

    Ah happy memories

We have this problem at the moment too with about 5 local cats, I think there's some sort or cat gangland turf war going on!! The lady who lived here before had 2 very old cats, one of which was very territorial so I think that might have something to do with it.

I've started by securing the perimeter (I'm taking it that seriously ) as there is a hole at the bottom of the gate that has obv been made for her cats to get in to, so have blocked that. Also a place in the fence.

I'm now on cat watch and googling supersoakers just in case!! Hah

    Oh yes.

The vile yapping mutt at the back of us has just moved which is brilliant. Didn't happen non-stop thankfully but the random yips at any and all hours were pretty annoying

And I'd better not get started on dodging dog shit (or usually not ) on the pavement...

It does work though, similar logic to using lion poo as a cat repellent, the smell of a (larger) adult male on a territory (cats follow natural boundaries, fences, hedges etc) will keep them away.

Yeah, we tried lion poo (lions roar I think it's called) and it didn't work.
