For those who have older ones not dry at night - what nappies?

Oscar isn't dry at night yet and is 4.5yrs old. To be fair, we haven't even tried him yet but his nappies are all full in the morning.

The ones that he is wearing are getting far too small now and are practically falling off him in the morning. Is it possible to get larger ones? Surely he's not the only one growing out of them but still needing to wear them?

I think we will be trying to get him dry at night soon as he's aware that other children don't wear nappies/pull-ups and seems to want to try, but in the meantime we do need something bigger than he has.

We use minky yoyos for Roo. They're clothies, but pull upable so easy for loo trips in the night/early morning.

He also loves them and doesn't want to wet them! So he's done really well since we have started using them and been mostly dry.

You can stuff them as much or little as required.

Are you talking disposables or cloth?

My 8yr old wears Huggies size 6 pull-ups, they seem to be the biggest, followed by Tesco own make. I've just picked up a pack from Lidl to try too, they were rec'd on here.

We just have size 5+ pampers/huggies/whatever's on special.

I know it feels like you'll never get there- DD2 is also still in nappies at 4, and wets every night. I learned with DD1 though, there's nothing you can *do*, short of putting up with wet beds and washing daily. DD1 just woke up dry one morning at 7, and has never wet since.

Lidl size 6 pull ups for my nearly 6 yr old. Actually they're both in the same ones which makes life easier - we don't run out!

    Sorry, I did mean disposables.

He's in size 6 Sainsburys ones. I'll try the huggies

Faith - we left it late to get him dry in the daytime and he was fine very quickly. We've not pushed the night time thing at all, he's a very deep sleeper but has problems getting back to sleep if woken so we've left it. I'm sure he'll get there one day, and I'm happy with that.

Just seen your post Mrs B - thanks, I'll try those as well. Oren is in size 5 nappies and could probably wear the 6s no problem. It would be good to have them in the same.

Sainsburys have had a 25% off deal so we've stocked up on 100s of nappies, sizes 5 & 6 as I know Oren will use them all if Oscar doesn't.

DS is 4.5 too but is tall for his age and now outgrowing the length of 5-6 tops and bottoms, and he's been in the pampers 6 pullups since he was trained. Unfortunately while they still fit in terms of width (snugly though), they often leak and this morning was such a morning. he was late to train too and often has nightmares and comes into us 'scared' at night, so to be honest, getting up and going to the bathroom in the middle of the night is probably not something that he would want to do . He's ahead of his age sizewise though so the decision will probably be made for us soon enough if the pull ups don't fit!

    Asda do a size 6+

    I think they're called Little Angels - it's Asda's own brand.
