Re: ***November/December Mummies***
OMG madwife is right, they are amazingly clear Emmy! How fabulous

Made me go back and relook at mine as i was convinced all scan photos looked the same, but actually i don't think they do, which is nice.
Fab photos! I shall have to take a photo of my bump soon, its definitely getting more pronounced. Still easy to hide but if im sitting down it's much more obvious and i am much thicker around the waist generally.
OH and me are in such a bubble over it lol, it's horribly sweet. Even when we're asleep he has his hand on my bump and kisses it constantly, he absolutely loves it.
Because of his MS i suspect we will stick to one, even though he doesn't want to, but i feel i could cope with him potentially being in a wheelchair in the future if i had one child, but seem to go to pieces in my head at the thought of him ill and two children to care for. So with this in mind im going to enjoy this pregnancy and wring out every drop of pleasure i can from it as i suspect it will be my last

Re: ***November/December Mummies***
Aww EW you dont know it will be your last, but I do agree about enjoying it as much as you can. This will def. be my last and Im trying to treasure it as I never thought we would have another child (DH only wanted one child til November time last year).
Emmy lovely pictures and you are 14 weeks already wow! Please do post more
I had to have yet more blood taken again today to test for slapped cheek virus again - Im NOT immune to it and son had it when I was 10 weeks pregnant.
MW do you know what will happen next? ie should I still mention it at 20 week scan even if the blood results come back that I showed no signs of it?

Re: ***November/December Mummies***
Hi all, thanks for lovely comments about scan pics
Glad to hear everyone is doing well, MW your bump is lovely! Hope you dont mind me asking but are you bigger this time round than with your other pregnancies? I'm definately bigger this time round!!
SJ hope your non immunity to slapped cheek doesnt cause you to worry, if you showed no signs of it when your son had it does that mean your in the clear?
EW you sound so loved up bless you, my DH kisses bump occasionally but admits we're so busy he does forget sometimes that I'm even pregnant!
Don't give up on another just yet, if you had a bigger age gap you may cope just fine with 2 even if your DH did end up in a wheelchair, although I can understand where your coming from, going from 1 to 2 is starting to scare me! Just little stuff like B going to bed at 7pm and me having the nights to myself will be a thing of the past for a while until we get a bedtime established
someone remind me when they start going to bed early? I really cant remember!
How is everyone doing weight wise? I'm watching it a bit more than last time as I put 3 stone on (I'm only 5'5 so it showed!) have put about 4 pounds on so far but think im more active than last time which must help. It's something I'm trying not to stress about too much as I know it doesn't matter too much but I cant help it
Is everyone finding out the sex? We are but not telling anyone - going to be very hard!!
Lovely to hear your feeling the baby move MW
I cant wait! SJ and EW have you felt anything yet? Midwife said 2nd time it will be around 16-18 weeks. I actually went to get checked with B as at 23 weeks still hadn't felt anything so hoping this one is more wriggly.
Anyone craving anything? I'm more sweet stuff now than I was in the beginning now the nausea has gone, I cant eat a meal without something sweet (bananas and cream - yum
)
MW can I pick your brains?? B was born with Strep B and I've been told if I test positive for the infection at the end of pregnancy (been told it comes and goes) I'll have to have antibiotics through a drip in labour, now does this mean they will want me in as soon as I go into labour, and will I be able to use the pool if I get all the antib's in me in time?? I'm desperate for a water birth, was on a bed due to being induced last time and want to be upright/in the pool this time. Also will I have to be tested for it or will they take the risk and test baby? Confused!
Anyway sorry for rambling on, big hugs to all take care

Re: ***November/December Mummies***
MW we need youuuuu!!! Your expertise for Emmy and my questions

I did have a bad cold, which could have been slapped cheek? NOt sure, and Im not worrying, nothing I can do about it anyway. Results back next week.
I havent actually weighed myself. I am bigger than first pregnancy for sure. Not sure if I will weigh myself or not? Probs. better if I dont
We are same as you Emmy, finding out sex (hopefully) but not telling anyone. Well I say that, but if we tell our son realistically I think he might tell people
So will see. If we say to him "dont tell anyone" he will want to immediately
. So we might tell him and just not mention it again and see. We have a girls full name chosen so deliberately not telling son that, as dont want to give away everything!
Good weekends all.

Hi girls, sorry I've been busy working
SJ - sorry you've had to have yet more bloods. I would imagine there's no harm in mentioning it when you have the scan, it's an anomaly scan anyway do they will be checking for lots of things. I think the biggest problem with cheek is a risk of miscarriage, which I'm very sure you're not at risk of now. My daughter had flapped cheek just before I found out I was pregnant, but I'm presuming we are ok now. Hope you can relax soon
Emmy, if you test +VE for GBS they will put a cannula in and give you intravenous antibiotics every four hours in labour. It only takes a few mins to go through so having a water birth shouldn't be a problem. They might also take swabs from you and the baby after birth to check if it's present. As to how early you go in, it depends how long your labour is. They need 4 hours to work so having them right before the birth is pretty pointless. I was supposed to have anti-bs in labour with dd2 as I tested pos for GBS with her. I only just made it to hospital in time to deliver there after quick labour. They gave up in the end, but actually the risks were very low because she was full term, I didn't have a temp in labour and my waters were gone for such a short time before birth (went when pushing about a minute before she arrived) the chances if her contracting infection were soooo low. In fact I don't even know if they took swabs? Good news was I tested negative during 3rd pregnancy and had home water birth. It's very very common though and very rarely causes problems. :)
This is my last pregnancy too definitely. Wasn't planning a fourth as it was. DH having snip after had baby. We are finding out definitely. Can't wait!!
EW you do loved up awww. Like Emmy says, don't rule another baby out. I found going from 1-2 easy due to having a 4 year gap, and in some ways it's easier having 2 because they play and occupy each other :). Now 3 is a different story

Re: ***November/December Mummies***
Hey! Happy weekend everyone

I think I felt the baby move this morning
My OH and I indulged in some extra curricular this morning
and afterwards, about 15 mins after, I was resting on my tummy and felt strong bubble popping type feelings. Sometimes I can feel a pulse elsewhere in my body after I've been breathless, but my heart beat was back to normal again at that point.
Do you think it was the baby moving? I googled and apparently an orgasm can cause braxston hicks type contractions which can get the baby jumping.
Awww I hope it was cause it was amazing
