Re: ***November/December Mummies***
Hi everyone, thought i would put a post in. I am currently about 5-6 weeks not sure of my due date though but know it is in november. Had a m/c 9 weeks ago so got pregnant straight away after d and c so everything is happening so quickly! really excited though and a bit worried of course but trying to push my worry to the back of my mind.
working in a nursing home at the minute so i have informed my manager and staff dont want to take any chances this time so pretty much everyone knows which is great because im terrible at keeping anything to myself

Re: ***November/December Mummies***
Hi debs,
Congratulations first of all. Fingers crossed for you that this pregnancy goes smoothly. I think youve made the right decision to tell your work place straight away, at least then you may not have to do the more labour intensive roles.
I'm in such a difficult position with my workplace as everything is set up to put me at risk basically. Plus I've only.been there 5 weeks so I really don't feel like I'm in a position to tell my superiors yet.
I work with sheep, pregnant ones primarily! So I'm having to be hypervigilant about toxoplasmosis. I plan on having a blood test once I register with my new doctor, just to put my mind at rest, even though I have made sure I haven't been involved with lambing at all so my risk is relatively low. Thankfully you can't catch it from their feaces.
If that isn't enough of a worry I have to do hard physical labour, lifting heavy stuff, chasing and catching sheep which feels like a wrestling match, mucking out etc etc.
The longer the pregnancy go on the more guilty I feel about throwing myself about. I am happy to approach occupational health once I've had my scan but right now I really feel I need to keep my head down for as long as poss.

Re: ***November/December Mummies***
Hi debs and welcome. Dont blame you for telling work in your case.
EW, wow what a fun job that sounds. Do take care though
Im 7+3 today and
my work trousers are feeling a little on the tight side. I do remember seeing a friend at 8 weeks pregnant and she had a bump already, it was obvious! Eek, luckily nothing like that here.
Still getting odd AF type cramps - anyone else?
How are you Emmyloo and Madwife? Hope your daughter has a good birthday today MW. My son had a fabby day on Tuesday, cant believe he is 6!

Re: ***November/December Mummies***
Well my nausea has calmed down a bit thankfully (although being a worry wart that also concerns me!). I have terrible tiredness and my nipples are crazy sensitive, but other than that no real symptoms and all my clothes seem to fit the same. I am off certain foods still but i am coping with yucky smells ok and haven't thrown up or anything.
I'm 7 weeks tomorrow, hopefully that all sounds normal

Re: ***November/December Mummies***
Aw thanks everyone, well last time i didnt tell anyone in work nd i ended up getting hit so this time i wus like i dont care who knows i want to make sure i take every step i can to try nd prevent m/c happening again. last time i was drinking as it wus christmas time and i didnt realise i was pregnant so sometimes i feel guilty and wonder was it my fault so this time im making sure i take every precaution!
But i think as long as your careful everything should be ok especially in a laborous job.
S-J, funny enough my stomach has swelled away out i am usually a size 10 nd had to go and buy 14s the other day. i was in shock!
nd im only six weeks this week must just be the way i go and all the eating probably doesnt help but i hav an excuse

Re: ***November/December Mummies***
Ok, I have decided I am a horrible person. I don't think I'm the earth mother type at all, all I do is whinge and moan about how crap I feel. Generally I try not to moan to my OH, as I think he feels bad when I do, but I am definitely bending my mothers ear regularly.
I have said that if I knew how sick and shattered I'd feel I wouldn't have done it, and the scary thing is I think I mean it! That's a terrible thing to say I know, but I really miss feeling well, I yearn for it daily.

Welcome Debs and emmyloo! Good to have you with us :)
Chants
its absolutely miserable isn't it? I'm feeling dreadful now as I knew I would, so I can totally sympathise. It's amazing how much we take for granted feeling well! But, although I have 12 more weeks of this going by the last 3, I can say the result is totally worth it in hindsight it flies by even though it doesn't feel like it now. Try and get some rest, and just remember that your body is growing a human being!! It's incredible, but does take its toll on you.
Sorry I've not posted for a while, tricky to get a break with the kids off school!! I had a scan on Wednesday!! The scan dept read the month wrong on my scan card so called me on tues asking if I could make it Wednesday morning. I suspected it was an error, but wanted to see baby anyway ha ha. I said I wasn't sure why i was there, as I was only about 6 +weeks ( 8+ by lmp). She managed to find baby straight away abdominally
measuring about 6 weeks as I suspected with a flickering heartbeat. Only measured 4 mm long. So cute. DH was so smitten, and has started calling it 'milli' short for millimetres lol. Have to go back 23rd may now when 13 weeks to date it properly.
In other news, my big baby is 10 today!!!
Happy Easter ladies xx
Eta that was a lot to write from s mobile phobe!!!
