What would you expect in this situation - I can't decide!
There's a work event (pleasure rather than business) coming up soon that takes place on a work day so everyone who works full time or part time on that day essentially gets an extra days holiday. I will be going to the event but as I don't work that day I will be going in my own time IYSWIM.
I might not have been too fussed but before I knew about the event I was actually planning on working that day in place of the previous Monday which is a PD day (although as it's so far off I hadn't told work yet ) Do you think it's fair of me to ask for the day to be treated as a work day for me too so I get the benefit of the day off like everyone else? If I don't I'll either have to take the PD as a days holiday or work another day instead.
I hope this makes sense! I'd welcome a second opinion as part of me thinks I'm justified in asking for the day back but I'm also wondering if I'm being a bit silly about it!
