    Cheeky buggers at Legoland

Just trying to book into the new Legoland hotel for the summer.

Firstly I though - hoorah, all the rooms sleep 5 people. As normally with 3 kids you get completely fleeced and have to book some ridiculously overpriced family room or a connecting room.

Oh foolish foolish me. Apparently the room (plus tickets) with 4 people in it is £268 (for room, breakfast, one day of tickets, you get the next day free). However when I add my 3 year old on, the charge (for exactly the same room) is....

£448 I can't wait to find out what sort of breakfast they're planning on serving him or what sort of ticket warrants an increase for a 3 year old of £180.

Likely they'll do anything about it if I call them? Or does it not sound that ridiculous and i'm making am mountain out of a molehill.

    Sounds ridiculous to me

surely the difference should just be the cost of a park ticket if the room can sleep 5 anyway. I'd call and talk to them - it is a new hotel and the might not have ironed out all the glitches yet

I'm thinking of booking for Halloween as a birthday treat for M

I think that sounds utterly ridiculous! What would happen if you just neglected to mention you're bringing along your 3 year old? Are the beds already in the room?

Worth a call I think if only to ask them to justify almost doubling the cost to bring an extra child!

Its definitely worth playing around with how you enter it in the website too, I booked in January and the deals were such that it was cheaper to buy an Annual Pass than a 2 Day pass.
I had to do a spreadsheet to work out the best way of divvying it up in the end, it was all very confusing.

I'd call, although are they part of the group with Alton towers? Although we had a ridiculous thing with them once.
Have you looked at Drayton manor? They have a hotel now and are family owned so may be more flexible.

How 3 year old looking is your ds2? I got away with buying Thomas a pass until he was about 4.5 But there's no way I can do this with Oscar

I absolutely refuse to go anywhere near Legoland since I heard that you can 'pay to jump the queue'.

He's about a head taller than T who is the exact same age so to that idea I think!

I am about the fact that Thomson holidays will charge me a full ADULT price for A, despite the fact that she will only be two and will still be in a bloody cot!!!

I'd definitely be phoning Katkinn. Seems a bit steep!

We've booked in the hotel for May. It's ridiculously expensive, but we'll probably only ever go to Legoland this one time, so decided to go for it!

Really looking forward to it. Hopefully it will still be nice and shiny and new, but not so new that they don't know what they're doing yet

If phoning makes no difference, try quidco - they are currently offering 7.5% cashback + £20 for Legoland holidays. I've just been having a play on the booking site and found a few dates which were £376 for a family of 5 during the summer hols, if you are flexible on dates.

This is actually too funny. U should complain big time. I would just sneak him in under some covers or through the back doors lol. No seriously this causes for a big complaint.
