DD first pair of heels!

They are beautiful.

I can remember being around 10 and everyone at school was wearing wedges, it was spring time, and so they were worn with, wait for it, long white socks, (we are talking 1976) and I was already head and shoulders taller than most girls in my class even though I was the youngest. Anyway, I didn't get on well with them at all even my Mum confessed to laughing as I made my way into school like a baby giraffe! And to this day I have never worn wedges again.
Can you tell I was traumatised ha ha

Oh my, the dress is just beautiful and the shoes too. A proper Cinderella outfit

My first heels were little lace up black ones (size 3), with about a 2 inch heel. I wore them to my school prize giving when I was 16 and remember tottering onto the stage praying that I didn't fall on my face in front of my entire year!

DD1 is 14 and desperate for heels but I won't let her - she can trip over fresh air so I won't risk heels!!

I feel really hypocritical as I wear heels all the time. I'm only 5ft 3in and my new DP is 6ft 3in so I wear 4in heels with a 2in platform whenever we go out or he gets a really sore neck when we're out. I ALWAYS end up barefoot on the way home from the pub though - there's only so much pain alcohol can dull!!

The dress is lovely, Anne. My DD's came from Coast last year- they have some gorgeous dresses. Did the mark come out at the dry cleaners?

The water stains did but there was a stain on the side of the dress that didnt. we have altered it so that it will look different and I cant believe how changing the ribbon and adding a few sparkle makes it look a different. She is practising in the shoes.
