Amanda Holden returning to BGT 2 weeks after giving birth.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...t-weekend.html

She nearly died FGS not to mention her baby is 2 weeks old! Surely she's just going to end up putting herself back in hospital, not to mention it's a recipe for getting PND! I understand she's probably concerned they'll replace her but surely her own health, and bonding with her new baby are far more important than her career. I thought there was a law in this country where you can't return to work until 6 weeks after giving birth? (I may be mistaken on that one).

It's two weeks, so they use that as an excuse to pay adopters 2 weeks less.
I've known a few people go back to desk work, usually from home, at 3 weeks or less, mainly in the US.

It's two weeks unless you work in a factory then it's 4 weeks. It hasn't come from Amanda or her management - one of those elusive 'friends' that reveal all

" This afternoon, a friend of the star said Miss
Holden plans to re-join her fellow BGT judges at auditions in
Edinburgh. The friend told the Mail: 'Amanda’s hoping to
go back to work – providing that doctors give her the all clear.'But she is in very good spirits and the baby
is lovely and healthy. 'Amanda won’t do anything that she doesn’t
feel she’s not up to, but she would be the first to say that BGT is not exactly gruelling manual labour.'"

Well, aside from not judging what another parent would choose to do, I think this is key. She can take her baby with her and feed her during the day, be with her at the hotel - it's not like Amanda is going to a factory or office for eight hours without a break. Plus tiny babies sleep a lot anyway.

WSS. Good for her. Don't see why she should get a load of stick for her decisions.

Just what I was thinking. Amanda gets on my nerves on the tellybox but I really wouldn't have the heart to judge her.

For all we know, it could just be for an afternoon/day with the baby nearby I hardly think doing what *she* wants to do is going to bring on pnd.
