Re: Anyone ever lost their Mirena???
Good that they found it Booh, glad that it was still relatively in place....given up wondering where on earth mine is now. Just want them to finish the x-ray (don't expect to find it) then put another one in.

Re: Anyone ever lost their Mirena???
Hi,
For those of you that had a missing coil, how long did it take from the initial appointment when it was first noticed as being missing to getting the ultrasound/x ray to getting it removed?
My friend had an appointment a month ago & was told they couldn't find it, she is still waiting for her letter for NHS Choose & Book, then she prob won't get an appointment straight away, the needs it removed.
Roughly how long did all that take for you all?
Thanks

Re: Anyone ever lost their Mirena???
Mine was around a week for the ultrasound then a couple of weeks for an xray as they couldn't find it with the ultrasound - then they put a new one in at my doctors.

Re: Anyone ever lost their Mirena???
Over a year. I had to fight for the x-ray as Doctor was adamant it must have fallen out. I then had to wait for a consultants appointment, then go on waiting list for surgery. All in all a complete farce.

Re: Anyone ever lost their Mirena???
I read this thread last night and not surprisingly dreamt that I found my mirena in the tumble dryer!! I woke up this morning to DP feeling frisky and my first words were 'omg its in the dryer, its going to melt, I need to put it back in '

he looked at me as if I was mad!!

Re: Anyone ever lost their Mirena???
I had a new one put back in Rosey, despite the drama - the pros of it definately outweigh the cons, out of the millions that have them, only a few go awondering and the fact that I don't have to worry about contraception, have no periods to deal with is a huge plus.

Is there actually any such thing as stylish, comfortable summer shoes/sandals?
