Reprinting from existing prints - not digital.
We have some lovely photos from our trip to Australia that I really want to frame for our dining room. The main problem is we went there in 2000 and digital prints didn't exist back then
, also they need enlarging.
How do I get them reprinted? We don't have the negatives any more
I looked at Jessops online and googled, but nothing helpful

Have you got a decent scanner? I scanned some of my old photos in and you can't really tell they weren't originally digital.
I would think if you can find someone to reprint, they should be able to digitise them for you...

Try a local photography shop, our old one would take a digital photo of them (under professional conditions) and then print them off how you want. Not cheap but worth it for a special print. It also means you don't have to send away your precious photos.

Cheers Mrs B - annoyingly our local photography place closed down last year
I think there's a Jessops nearby though.
By not cheap - what sort of price are we looking at?

Re: Reprinting from existing prints - not digital.
Was a long time ago, and think they were quoting something like a pound a print for copying, then whatever it took to print onto canvas, paper, enlargements etc. Added up as I was enquiring about copying all my (non-digital) photos onto a disc as a back-up, and we're talking about hundreds if not thousands of photos!
Actually, when I write it down like that, just getting a few done doesn't seem much these days. But I was a poor student at the time!

Re: Reprinting from existing prints - not digital.
According to google there are two ways, take a digital photograph of the print, or scan it.
The first will probably have to be done professionally, the second can be done on a home scanner.
There are many sites out there discussing which is best
. I suppose it depends on how fussed you are about quality, and how the enlargement turns out. I have a fairly good scanner and I can't tell the difference from the original most of the time

Cheers girls. Faith - you are clearly better at googling than me as I couldn't find those sites

Mrs B, only want to get 4 or poss 5 done so think that should be OK
