Re: Why would anyone post unflattering pics on facebook?
I take issue when people do this. I hate it and most people who know me now know it will upset me. I am incredibly un-photogenic (or look like a muppet in real life too maybe) and get upset seeing myself. Am feeling very proud that out of 107 Christmas photos just arrived in my inbox that I am only in the very far background of three of them! Makes me cross even that people think they have the right to post pictures of someone else on the net without asking first anyway! Grr.

Re: Why would anyone post unflattering pics on facebook?
Some people are like that - they just post everything. They don't sort through the photo's or choose the ones that make people look good or are good photo's, they post everything they took. It doesn't mean they wanted to make the people look or feel bad, just that's that is the way they are.
On the other side of the coin, though, there can be perfectly nice photo's out there but the person in them could hate them just because they don't like seeing themselves in photo's.
I do believe people should always delete pics if you ask them to, though. I'm quite cautious about posting pics with other people in myself.

Re: Why would anyone post unflattering pics on facebook?
I have a work colleague who is prolific at posting awful pictures of people making sure also that any of her are ubber glam! She goes out of her way to get awful pictures and loves it when one of us look really fat so much that we now all try to avoid her when she has a camera. Atm there are some really unflattering ones of me on facebook

I can't really talk as my profile pic is particularly unflattering atm.

I've got to say it doesn't really bother me if people put unflattering pics of me up
I spose if it happened a lot I might? I can't imagine it though
I kinda feel like that's 'their' memories of an event and however I look on the photos is how I looked
Don't get me wrong, I don't think I'm particularly photogenic and can criticise any photo of myself but it's how I looked at the time do what's the point.
It all sounds a bit precious. Sorry.DD 6 yrs
