Re: Slimming World 2012 Thread!
I went back to class today 1st weigh in off the year... Last time i went in was 14th Dec so 3 weeks ago... I couldnt make it with being back to back with spray tans..
In 3 weeks i gained 3.5lbs which i was pleased with was so expecting it to be more. I only need to lose 2.5lbs & i drop into the 11st bracket so shall hit this next week
then once in that bracket im not going back into the 12's....
I went back to the gym today & am there tomorrow mostly doing running but doing some weights as well...
I have a little thing going with my bestie. He is trying to lose weight as over the years it has crept on & him being my man of honour & being suited & booted he doesnt want to look fat in the photos like me.. So were doing a challenge where you have to lose 7lbs in 6 weeks easily achievable il def be moving that goal in the next 2 months to every $ weeks.... If you dont he coughs up £50 which il put to my wedding & if i dont think i give him £50 to put on his credit card bill :tuttut:
I didnt get to stay to group tonight as i was tanning but i think il book tans in from 7pm so i can go to the 5pm group. Unless of course i get inundated like christmas & then if i dont make group weight in, il go to boots to check my weight
Going to menu plan next few days for when food shopping sat so i no what were eating next week....

Re: Slimming World 2012 Thread!
Well done everyone!
Right well after the exhaustion of yesterday (got to the hall to teach -boiler broken, had to run round getting electric heaters.. blah blah blah - got home 10.30pm and hadn't even had a chance to wee - grrr) I woke up with a banging head but managed to get to work only 25 mins late
but with no lunch... there is nothing SW friendly available in that setting and no shops so I was a bit stuck!! Managed not to eat crap though and just came home starving and made a lovely dinner. BE STRONG I said to myself. Inside I am gagging for a bottle of wine and some crap food but in the long run - WILL THIS MAKE ME HAPPY? No.
.
So....
Yoghurt and oats
2 cream crackers (3 syns) and a pear (this is all I had until 8pm - sob!)
2 pickled eggs (yay!)
1 small chocolate coin (1 syn I guess? Smaller than a celebration)
Chicken, veg and chickpea curry with brown rice - only syn bit was curry paste which is 4 per tbs so I guess at 4?
A week today I get weighed for the first time so I'm hoping by then I will have lost a few of the xmas pounds - I have no idea how much they are/were but it was BAD folks - BAD. I had such a weird stressful kind of 'lost' time of it and there were nights where I consumed whole bottles of wine followed by huge amounts of choc - and I'm not even really a chocolate fan
but hey, you live and learn and I think alcohol is a really bad trigger for me when I'm going through bad shit so I think I need to sort of man up and say no to it. Which I have done this year (all 5 days of it
).

Re: Slimming World 2012 Thread!
That recipe sounds great TP
Thanks
Do they keep for a couple of days (in the fridge?) or do you have to eat them straight away? I struggle with portable breakfasts and quite often end up missing breakfast and mainlining biccies at work (note to self: that's why I've put on 2 stone since starting work there
) so that would be great. I try to have Alpen light bars in when doing SW but the kids eat them and they work out v expensive unless they are on offer.
Well done for resisting WN
I've had a shit day, given myself a stress headache, not done anything I needed to and am now overwhelmed and don't know where to start - which lead me to demolishing the last of the biscuits instead of making myself a proper tea
I think I will have a couple of paracetamol, go to bed and start again in the morning
Night all
Sorry for the downbeat post - will be back to normal tomorrow, I promise!

Re: Slimming World 2012 Thread!
Oh RGK
hope you're feeling better today? Yes they do keep. I kept mine in the fridge for about 3 days now and they're still lovely. The fact that they are portable is the very reason I went for them too, I work at home but sometimes out and thats when I can be sorely tempted by pastries or toast
On day 4 here and feeling increasingly good - this is when I get so cross with myself for going off plan
Have a funny working day today so meals quite split up
Early breakfast - Breakfast muffin, Pineapple
Late breakfast/early lunch - Bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomato, small slice of wholemeal bread
If still hungry later - vegetable soup
Dinner - Shepherds Pie
Snacks - Melon, apple, Alpen light bar, biscuit later on
Good luck everyone and keep going
TP

Reading your posts I am raring to go on Monday :) have got a meal plan worked out (thanks TP for the breakfast Muffin recipe
)
Whatever crap is left in the house on Monday is going! Hubby can take the tin of choclates and the mahooosive Christmas cake his Mum made to work, I am sure his workmates will devour them
Good luck for the weekend Ladies

Re: Slimming World 2012 Thread!
Hi everyone
Well I went back to class last night, and the numbers were actually worse than I thought
Anyway started today in earnest and so far have had:
2 Alpen light for Breakfast (hex b)
HUGE salad with pastrami and boiled egg for lunch
2 laughing cow EL triangles (will have 6 by the end of the day for my Hex a)
Dinner will probably be chicken in passatta with peppers and garlic, boiled new pots and veg
then probably muller light for afterwards.
I am also going to try to start walking back and forth from school again but it depends on the weather as I dont really like Serena being out in the very cold and rain etc

xx

Re: Slimming World 2012 Thread!
Well my first post baby weigh in wasn't toooooo bad. I've gained 1st 7lb.. could have been alot worse as I didn't food optimise AT ALL whilst preg... and munched thru alot of choc during my 3 week stay in hospital!

SO here we go..... I have 1.5st to get back to my pre preg weight and realistically another 1.5st to lose after that! x
