Re: What is best travel potty for pram and being out about?
Glad it's going well Gretel.
I think in the first few weeks small children don't know themselves how long they can hold onto a wee for so sometimes might say they need to go noooooooooooowwwwwww when they could've held it, and vice versa. They won't know until they've been put in those situations. Even as an adult I've been surprised how soon after a drink I'm desperate for a wee on the odd occasion. The potette is more a comfort blanket (erm well not exactly like a blanket!) in those early weeks IMO. We used it a handful of times, maybe 5, but on those occasions she was desperate and it was great (e.g. on a busy beach no toilets nearby not warm enough to be in the sea, stuck in surprisingly bad traffic in the middle of nowhere late on a sunday nothing open).

Yes, must admit the frustrating thing is that I feel you don't really get your moneys worth, it's quite pricey!

Phwew, not just me then!
DS only ever used ours twice, will get it out again when DD decides she wants to be potty-trained but knowing her she won't use it much either.
Tip for those who do have one but don't want to fork out for the pricey bags, just use a supermarket plastic bag with a value sanitary towel stuck in the bottom, cheaper than chips!
