Re: What was your LOs favourite present? And what's not been looked at yet?

Hexbugs were a winner all round here. There have been no real flops - it will be interesting to see what they go back to tomorrow. DD has been doing her tapestry and DS1 has an electronics set from my Mum and Dad. DS2 has a dog that barks and does back flips.

The worst has been City Link deliveries. Our guaranteed next day delivery that left Northampton on Thursday still shows and estimated delivery of 'Friday' on the tracking system. We assume it cannot arrive before Wednesday now at the earliest. That was DS1's main present. I had to run out to Asda last night and buy him a book and a puzzle to open this morning. He was so good about it, but it was about 6pm before we got to my Mums and he actually got anything exciting to do and he was just starting to feel a bit left out. We are going to stay with the MiL on Thursday so I hope it arrives by then.

M's was his wooden ELC backhoe loader that I got at a tabletop sale for £3 he just kept rolling it around the floor with a dreamy look on his face. He wasn't really interested in opening presents, though - he still has a big pile of stuff to do and half his stocking is still full! Cut 'n' play fruit and veg that I again got second-hand were also very popular.

Z opened all her things and all the joint ones, plus half of M's. Her favourites were a hat with earflaps a friend gave me, her new Ramones t-shirt from us, the aforementioned fruit and veg, a Tomy Megasketcher and a mini MP3 player (the last probably wins out overall).

Rafi loved his Learn 'n' Groove Activity Station - the only present he had any interest in, but he's only 15 weeks old so it's not that surprising!

Biggest hit was the second hand £7.50 Pinball machine that both boys played with lots. We had no real flops and everything was played with. The games such as Shark attack and Dino bite also amused my two over and over again.

Today we will hopefully get T out on his new Bike that raised a huge smile yesterday

    Best:

Ds: a toss up between bop it, connect 4 launchers and his pirate ship
dd: her leapfrog explorer and chocolate

Neither were particularly impressed with their new pjs and dd hasn't played as much with her dollhouse but we know that's a grower!

Well he likes his red bike that he's been asking for/talking about for months. But the three he's asked for this morning are the Little Tykes Car Transporter that I got for £10 off netmums. A hobby horse, that he's named Galahad, and a Chad Valley Castle that came from one of OH's collegues as a <bribe> thank you. We were going to get him a playmobil castle in the sales with his Christmas money, so a bit stuck for that now.

Don't think we've got any dud presents yet, but the board games are probably a bit boring for Christmas day when there's more exciting stuff around.

Cerise, I'd be so cross with citylink - it's not like there's been bad weather this year. .

Our hits; DD1 -her bike, she's wanted to be out on it he whole time. And this little sticker book I got her as a stocking filler, oh and the my little pony mini school set my parents got her.
DD2 - an ELC wooden tree house and her playmobil motorhome "right kids, we're in China".

Mine haven't really had a chance to take it all in yet but so far the laptop (DD - partly from me, partly from her birthday money!), netbook (DS1) and DSi (DS2) are favourites. Lots of other stuff that hasn't even been taken out the box yet but most played with so far are Lego, Nerf guns and Imaginext Batcave, which was given to DS1 but has been used more by DS2.

No major fails but ex has them today and is taking them to his Mums where they'll get more presents so we'll see what they get there.
